That is great news for all XBox owners. This probably means that they are removing gold requirements from Watch Dogs as well, so I guess just a bit of bad timing, because had they announced it 2 weeks ago they would have benefited more from the sales of both the game and consoles.
I also guess MS will count on CoD and TF crowds to fund the Gold program, but it should also signal better Games with Gold, since they are removing app users and single player gamers from the equation. And are probably counting on inertia by people who will just keep the Gold out of habit.

Well I have gold on the X1 since I'm not the primary account which is gold. Also I don't plan to ever play Destiny since I don't really like FPS. Would be nice if they would implement this for Horizon 2.

Good news for Xbone users

If you already have gold, why does it matter if they do it in horizon?

PS+ is not required for F2P games and MMO.

It would mean that more people would actually try and play the online portion of the game.  Also the online portion of the game will be more intergrated into the game kinda like with Destiny. I kinda don't have gold I only have access to online play on the X1 since it only requires one gold membership per console and I'm not the primary account but the main account is Gold.
