Who will win?

Sony 134 33.58%

Nintendo 177 44.36%

Microsoft 32 8.02%

VGC Polls are useless 54 13.53%

Total:397

Also, deducting points for featuring motion controls is bullshit. I'm to believe that after forcing millions of XB1 owners to buy a Kinect, suddenly 100% dropping support for it would be a good move for Microsoft?

Aside from Nintendo losing ten points out of the gate it seems like a pretty fair scoring system.

It's been set to -5 for ages.

I wouldn't call less than an hour "ages".

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I don't agree with the -10 for not having a conference. A lot of people, including me, prefer that. Same with the exclusive multiplatform negative points. An exclusive is an exclusive.

An exclusive is only good for fanboys. For everyone else it is not.

Don't agree at all. Exclusives define a system. If there are no exclusives, there should only be one console.

So you agree that there should be only one console and exclusives are anti-consumer? Glad we're on the same page.

No. A monopoly is even more anti-consumer.

Depends on the company and consumer.

Still, exclusives are nothing that benefits the consumer so it gets rightfullly negative points.

Looking at the points it seems heavily skewed against MS.

Please be constructive and elaborate on what should be changed then..

Don't know if anything should be changed. This list is obviously for the consumer.

The fact that it is benefitting Sony and skewed against MS and Nintendo might mean that MS and Nintendo are the most anti-consumer?

x} You said that..

I'm gonna laugh a little if Sony loses this game after all the "this scoring system is shite".

Sony's penchant for 1 hour exclusive content and bad jokes could certainly mean just that.

The list is still heavily biased to his opinion though. Motion controls are not a bad thing, as are kids on stage.

The items and points seem overall very arbitrary. It sounds like a list of what would be fun for him and not what would have the broadest appeal to everyone watching.

Some good points.

1.  Nobody at E3 cares about mobile.  So we'll be pretending that doesn't exist.
2. Good point with exclusives jumping platforms.  I'll make a rule for that.  Something like Monster Hunter that already jumped ship will not count.  Messy history, nobody should complain even if does suck as it already happened once.
3. Won't be counting Japan/asia only stuff.
4. Rules are for -new- changes, something like DQX switch away from Sony long ago, not removing points for past things.  It isn't a new game announcement, but it is a new game, if you know what I mean, it would be rated under the "Lastly +5 or 10 or 15 points for any unexpected good surprises not covered  by any other scores.  Will be rated on how good they are."
5. Cross-over games are technically new IPs.  Marvel vs Street Fighter was a new IP, even if made by rehashing two existing ones.
6. This is for the gamers.

Think I covered everything.

Thanks for clarifying. You'll have to play some of this by ear, though you'll wind up with differing interpretations of the scores.

I still disagree about 6, but what can ya do. This is your thread.

It benefits the consumer who gets to play the title. Either to take out points for all exclusives including 1st party, or you leave it alone.

No, you just leave it alone.
