Yes, we need E3.

Because if a presenter fucks up, it'll haunt them forever. You don't get those type of moments on pre-recorded events.

Of course we don't need E3. Things can get announced in other ways. It does generate more hype, though, so they're still gonna keep it around.

I didn't even watch it last year. Think it made me enjoy the games more when I actually saw them. Had no idea that 3D World was getting such backlash until I looked at the forums. Then, when I saw the trailer, I asked why it was getting such hate. I may watch this year simply because I need something to convince me that the PS4/XB1 have good games in the future.
