interesting.  I'm a bit of a hard critic with books.  Is it like GoT because those keep me very entertained despite being like 800 pages average lol

It's nothing like GoT, basing on what I know about the series/books.

The novels tells the tales of Geralt throughout his life. Except for the last two books, which dwellve on a certain matter, every other book is made from short but interesting situations Geralt has to face. Though you could say GoT and Witcher share some similarities because everything has a deep political meaning behind it.

Eh dont know about the books but Witcher 2 is ver similar to GOT

1. Dark fantasy setting

2. Tits. Lots of tits and sex

3. Very, very, political storyline including kings, assassinations, betrayal, schemes.

4. Very grey morality

Yeah, what I tried to say is that GoT develops a continuous story (or so I think), whereas The Witcher books are all over short stories compiled in one.

Imagine that the most interesting quests of Geralt in W1 and W2 are each chapter of the book.

Yeah I think I get the picture.  I'll check them out!  Sounds like a nice focused story as long as Geralt is interesting which, judging by the fan's interest, he is.

Get Your Portable ID!Lord of Ratchet and Clank

Duke of Playstation Plus

Warden of Platformers

Geralt is a badass and the game is full of win all over it there is your synopsis.

But seriously the story on both games are very deep and involved and theres a lot of political intrigue its not realy very easy to sumarise. The storys stand alone tough so Im pretty sure you wont miss much going straight to Witcher 3.

The thing with Geralt is that you never know what he will do, or say. That is very well reflected on the games; as you sometimes make choices without ever realizing that you have (until you met the consequences, that's it).

And they are well-written and I think you wouldn't get bored with them. Also, get W2 on Steam. I can understand not getting 1 because it is a bit outdated nowadays, but 2 is worth the money.

Huh? What exactly have you read? I assume only the Sword of destiny?

The Witcher Saga is CONTINOUS story centered mostly around Ciri aka The Child of Destiny.

I don't remember any continuosity (is that even a word?) in The Last Wish, Sword of Destiny or Time for Hate

Because you haven't read the actual Saga... Tsk tsk tsk... But I guess you've read the books that are translated to English... The order you're supposed to read them is:

Season of Storms (prequel written in 2013!)
Blood of Elves
Time of Contempt
Baptism of Fire
The Swallow's Tower
Lady of the Lake

atm only the Blood of Elves and Time of Contempt are translated to English, but there's fan translation of other books available and it's actually quite good. Or you can read it in Polish.

The Last Wish and The Sword of Destiny are collections of short stories.

That game is poised to be GOTY 2015 for sure. It feels like what Mass Effect would've been if it was a fantasy title and everything Dragon Age should've been.
