DR3 development was funded by MS. So essentially anything Crapcom made off of it was free money. Free money they otherwise would not have gotten, because had MS not paid for development, the game wouldn't exist. I think this one has the best chance of hitting PS4, and I doubt it would happen. But even if it does, what does it matter? The game is barely selling anymore. It's not as if MS is losing a huge exclusive.

With Titanfall, MS not only had originally signed a timed-exclusive deal, but they also stepped in when Respawn was going to have to hand the IP over to EA (where it would die) and funded the finishing development of the game. So in your complete guesswork math, where do you figure in the timed exclusive contract payment, and the extra money EA saved from not having to finish development of the game? Not to mention any further payment EA would have likely received to make the game a "permanent MS exclusive".

Oh and lets give the tin foil hat people some love and reference all the theories that MS was somehow paying EA to delay and not show off the 360 version at all. How much of the 250-300 mil did that knock off?

The main reason I would not expect Titanfall is it would be too close to a TF2 release, which I would bet is coming in late 2015 or early 2016.

No and No.

The sequel definitely (though not dead rising cause that franchise has been locked to MS for some strange reason for a while). Its just the first year, and the PS4 while selling very well doesn't have an install base large enough to demand those kinda decisions. By the time dead rising 4 and titanfall 2 are ready, there may very well be over 45M PS4s on the market by then. Then it would be financial suicide to not release on the PS4.

I do not see any reason that they will come over. If anything their sequels will be multiplat.

With how well the PS4 is doing, the cost of exclusives is just going to keep increasing to a point that Im not sure its in MS best interest to pay out that kind of money. I mean, how much did MS benefit from the Titanfall exclusivity? Same with DR3.

so was bioshock, and mass effect, and ninja gaidan, or the 2 dlc campains for GTA IV and yet they all came to ps3.  dead rising 3 was announced as never coming to pc and yet now it is.

if there is one thing i've learned these last two gens it is that the word "exclusive" is a very loose term when it comes from MS.

quantum break is an "exclusive*".   sunset overdrive is an "exclusive*".  titanfall is an "exclusive*".   dead rising 3 is an "exclusive*".

No to both. MS funded for both games. Titanfall is less likely because it's a multiplayer FPS, so there will be no point getting it if Titanfall 2 is around the corner. Dead Rising 3 could come to the PS4, but I'm skeptical. If it does come on the PS4, it'll not be released on the platform until like a year later.

I remember gamecube days with resident evil 4. Capcom said resident 4 is GC exclusive. After that they released it in pretty much in all systems. Same thing is true with mass effect 1. If you guys recall your memory you will know mass effect 1 was never supposed to come in ps3. But eventually it came in ps3.

Yet back at that time Sony was bullying every single dev since they ruled the world with the Ps2. So they actually forced Mikami to release the game on Playstation 2 with extra content, despite he himself saying RE4 was a GC exclusive.

It's a far different situation; with ME, EA saw the money in releasing it in more platforms. With RE4, Sony DEMANDED RE4 to be on their console as well.

Good points. Now here is my prediction. Both Metal gear soild 4 and deep down will come to other platforms in ths gen.
