I meant it more that it would sell more on 3DS than Vita, as well as just in general.  DR isn't as nearly as niche as CII, and the install base for the 3DS is just that much larger. But who knows.

Larger user base doesn't mean squat when games are selling in such small quantities.

And actually, DanganRonpa is more niche than Conception 2.  It sold 13.5k in its first month in the USA, so lower than the Vita version of Conception 2 and much lower than Vita + 3DS versions.  And we saw how that worked out, so I actually think it's coming to the correct platform.

But this is a pointless debate anyway.  It would need to be ported to 3DS in Japan by Spike Chunsoft, and at this point in the game they've clearly got no interest in doing that.  The next Dangan Ronpa game is Vita-exclusive so it looks like the series is staying for the time being.

Second best game on Vita in my opinion.  If you don't mind story being front and centre, you'll have a brilliant time.

I really want the first one to go down in price so I can get into the series.

Story is what I care about most in games!  I'll have to look into it.  While we are on the subject...Any other vita games with a good story that you would recommend?

I know its pointless, haha, I am merely stating my thoughts on the matter. Obviously its not going to get ported.

That said, DR was more niche but I do not think (know) it is anymore with the exposure its gotten from its TV serialization in Japan, which inevitably spills over into the US, all of which was just a long commercial for the games. Its more likely now that people are, if even marginally, more aware of DR than of Conc.

Conception 2 surprised me in how much it sold on the 3DS, more than anything, considering that it was a terrible port, and anyone interested in the game would have been well aware of its defecits. The fact that it sold as it did comes/came as a surprise to me.

I think it will be interesting to see the sales of the second game.  The first one had to compete against a fan translation + the translated anime (which is basically the game's whole story) and so it probably lost a lot of buyers who played/watched either of those things.

No such things exist for this game so hopefully it'll sell a bit better.

Niceee!!! I really want to play this game so anyone with a vita should buy it asap! I think I will borrow my friend's vita and play it

I'm just going to bring this up again: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6212263

You might not ever need a friend's Vita after the year is over

Lolll! Well, if I do lose that bet, I will certainly buy this game the moment I buy the vita, thats for sure!

It will likely sell higher due to said exposure from the serialization and the fact that its not some slapdash fan solution.
