While Sony Computer Entertainment America prepares for E3, on the other side of the Pacific Ocean Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia will be hosting an event of its own on June 6th to start off this hot summer, titled “PlayStation’s Summer Fireworks.”

According to the press release sent by Sony, the event will be held at 9 PM Japan time in Roppongi, Tokyo. While only 30 people will be allowed to attend in person, it’ll be broadcasted live on Nico Nico.

During the broadcast, Sony will livestream the latest trailers of Monter Hunter Frontier G, Oreshika 2: Tainted Bloodlines and Freedom Wars for PS Vita, and will share “a lot of information” on upcoming PS4 titles.

The show will also inlcude a digital fireworks show in which the size and number of fireworks will depend on the comments from the audience.

This and the US/Canada E3 live in theaters. Sony must have some big cards up their sleeve to create so much PR hype... I dearly hope so at least.

Jeez, Sony must have something really cookin' if they're renting out theaters all over the US and doing this in Asia. Anyways, this is much needed for the PS4. A plethora of Japanese-centric games announced for the PS4 will really help it sell more in Japan.

I wouldn't be surprised if we get a Project Beast teaser there.
