I had two pretty H-core Sony friends come over and play Pikmin 3, Rayman Legends, and DK Tropical Freeze. They both have a WiiU now. Neither of them have a PS4 yet either.

I sent them a text saying "one of us.. one of us.. one of us.."

They really like the idea of Club Nintendo too.

8th gen predictions. (made early 2014)
PS4: 60-65m
WiiU: 30-35m
X1: 30-35m
3DS: 80-85m
PSV: 15-20m

I had a friend who only played a Wii, only played Nintendo games as well. Brought over my 360 and he pretty much got addicted to the achievements and games like GTA 4. Now he's got a pretty impressive game list, loves hack and slash, like Devil May Cry, and Bayonetta and never touched his Wii again.

Oh yeah, I know many people who switched from Wii and it became a dust collector/console the little siblings or cousins would ask to play

Same here, I have alot of friends that brought it, played it for a few weeks then forgot about it.

For real. I used to play as many games on my Wii, thought the graphics, looked nice actually. Got a 360 for Christmas in like 08? And the Wii literally went in my closet.

I didn't have to . Microsoft did that for me. My friends finally own a PS.

Though technically, I guess I did change one person's mind. Mine. I started gen 7 with the 360.

I honestly don't know what happened to me specifically. I used to own Gamecube, Xbox and PS2. Played them all equally. Then once Gears of War came out and I played the whole campaign co-op at a friend's I stuck to Xbox 360 and never looked back. It was the only 7th gen available AND affordable at the time so I guess that's how my 1 console allegiance started.

Have had several people dump their 360s for PC, and more recently an xb1 for PC. Helped sell the xb1 and gave him my hand me down 3930/sli 680 system. Only had 12gb ram and a 256gb ssd, but he loves it. He's getting a Wii u for his platforming fix, but is loving Titanfall, Ghosts, Bf4 etc @ 2560x1440 :)

My 360-only friend became a big fan of Infamous after watching me play a few years ago, and ended up platinuming Second Son on my PS4 when I let him borrow it, but he hasn't bought a Sony console yet. He also thought Fire Emblem: Awakening and Pokemon Y looked fun, so I let him borrow my 3DS a couple weeks ago, but he doesn't seem interested in buying a 3DS either.

Not sure if that counts, but at least it's progress.

I've never cared or bothered.

Don't have friends that you want to game with?

Only time I like multiplayer is on the couch so it's not really an issue.

I have gotten people to switch religions though, but never to my own since I don't really have one so, I dunno.

Not really cause by the end of the 2nd year, me and my friends own the consoles each other has anyway

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Not switch allegiances per se, but I've had friends that went from Xbox only to Xbox/Wii combo when playing Wii games with me.
