Forums - Gaming - What is your favorite wrpg?

Mine is probaly any game from the elder scrolls series or mass effect.

Tbh, I don't really get into WRPGs. Of the ones that I own, the only one that I played for any significant time was Neverwinter Nights. And yes, I do own Oblivion, and I can play at max on PC, but I'm still level 1.

Another WRPG I enjoyed was LOTRO. I beta tested it, and it was easily the best MMO I ever played, but I didn't like it enough to pay for. Any WoW fans out there should definitely check it out.

I kinda like wrpgs better than jrpgs because they are less linear than most jrpgs. They also stick to the definition of a rpg more than jrpgs.

Mass Effect, Fable.

I don't know if this counts as a WRPG, I think it does=Baldur's Gate series including Dark Alliance

Tag: Became a freaking mod and a complete douche, coincidentally, at the same time.

..whats a wrpg?

infact, anyone care to give me a list of the various rpgs?

ie:
jrpg =
wrpg=
arpg=
etc, etc

because i have no idea what ppl are talking about when they add a letter infront of rpg. :D

Japanese RPG (FF, DQ, SO, etc.)
Western RPG (Mass Effect, WoW, most MMOs)
Strategy RPG (Disgaea, Valkyrie of the Battlefield)
Action RPG (not sure how these would be differentiated from JRPGs like FFXII, Dark Cloud, or White Knight Story, basically more action oriented rather than turn based JRPGs)

^That's the best I can do.  Also, don't trust my definition of ARPG.

Jrpg =japanese
Wrpg=Western
Arpg=Idk
Srpg=strategy
That is all I know.

I guess Knights of the Old Republic was my favorite, but I think that has more to do with lightsabering wookies then anything else.
