Is it $980 per day +$318 for the other two days, or does it cover all four days? That's a ton of love from Sony if it's the former.

Im cheekishly joking. MS could pay for development for both PS and XB development, pay for hotel and airfaire and the internet would be up in arms. Sony does anything at all "Good Guy Sony." Tis the way of the internet.

Sony: You want to make a game for ps4? Awesome! Here, we're sending over an extra devkit and a couple developers to help you with coding.

MS: You want to make a game for xb1? Awesome! Well, first of all, you can't have already released a version on a rival console...and if you're developing for other consoles, both have to launch at the same time, and you have to pay for it on your own. If you can't afford to make two versions, then just make ours because later on maybe you could make a ps4 version, but if you do it in reverse, we'll never let it release on xb. Oh, also the other version can't be better than our version otherwise you'll never publish on xb1 again. OH!!! You wanted it on Xbox1? Sorry, but you have to make a windows phone version too. Have you applied for the @xboxID program? No? Ok, do that first and get back to us.

It's because history has conditioned us to respond this way. So far as I know, Sony doesn't engage in anti-competitive behavior regarding playstation. I don't think I've ever heard of a dev say that Sony disallows a third party anything. I've never heard of any restrictions, strong-arming, etc.

I've heard them butchering a goat....I've heard RIIIIIIDDDGE RACER, I've heard of bombing software...but I don't think there's ever been a time where a dev has come forward and bad-mouth Sony.

Now, as far as MS....

Exactly, sony never strong armed any developers. The worst they did was in the time of the PS1 with their aggressive marketing and moneyhatting devs, but that was just to get them to also make PS versions of games and never to buy out games. Sony actually have a policy where they dont pay for 3rd party exclusives. For MS, rather than spend money on their own exclusives they go around buying DLC or timed exclusisvity. Or having release clauses. I dunno, I know no company is clean, but MS seems all kinds of dirty.

The only Japanese "indie" games I know of are Project Phoenix; Mighty No. 9 and Airship Q.

I wonder if any of those will be there.

If you are saying that Sony is hasent had plenty of anti consumer things go down in its history, you arent paying attention to history.

Forgive me, could you remind me what playstation anti-consumer 'things' you're talking about?
