Mario Kart 8 ended quite behind Mario Kart 7, though not much of a surprise seeing how MK7 came out during the holidays, and the bigger install base the 3DS had at the moment, when compared to the that of the Wii U. Atleast it did quite well for a Wii U game.
One question, though: Is the console bundle being counted in those numbers or only the simple edition?
COMG guide to points: 1 point = Raging. 2 points = Beasting. 3 points = Tearing it up. 4 points = Berzerk. 7 points = Rampage. 12 points = Burst. 15 points = god mode. 20+ points = DIVIDING BY ZERO!!! 40+ points = Youkai (originally Pokemon).
-1 = Negabeasting. -5= NegaRampage. -10 = NegaBurst

I wouldn't be surprised if VGC is off, but hopefully not that far-off.
Their track record isn't the best, so I'm prepared for the worst.
Sooooo did Halo's 55k preorders just disappear?
If this is right Mario Kart 8 may end up selling the same in the USA and Japan. I think in the USA it should sell at least 30% more than in Japan.
