Samsung as a component manufacturer I like.

Samsung as a hardware manufacturer is becoming exactly like Apple- they feel no reason to innovate more than a minimal amount, because people will buy them for brand name alone. HTC and Sony both have better hardware, but get demolished by Samsung in sales because Samsung has marketing and brand on their side.

Oh yea oled and components of samsung are honestly great, but as u said as a hardware manufacturer they are going on the same route as apple now. Their note series imo is their best product though and an exceptionally good one at that.

Well I support Japanese companies whenever possible and don't care much about the premium on it... To sad I live in Brazil and can't support much of the companies originally from Brazil since their quality is garbage most of the time.

The Note series is their best, but even that isn't nearly what it could have been. Samsung could have included a 2560 x 1600 display (at 5.7 in. the PPI would get a relatively noticeable boost), water-proofing, and a metallic or glass casing instead of the cheap plastic leather they used, and they still would have made a good profit while at the same time driving innovation like they used to. Nope, just added a slightly bigger display with slightly better PPI, more RAM which will never be used, and a faster processor and called it a day, just like they do with all their phones these days.
