Questionable tactics and substitutions cost them the WC and Copa America though. |
Yeah, most of the blame goes to Tata. No one cares about or remembers runner ups. This Argentina team has amazing players, but somehow they keep losing finals.

A year ago. I facepalmed so hard, worst substitution ever. Mourinho (I don't like him) was on TV explaining how this substitution not only took argubly the most active player during the first half of the match out of the field, but also how Messi's role was diminished to nothing for the rest of the game.
Oh well, next time he gets a chance, he will be 30 and it will be truly his final opportunity to make it big with the national team.

Hahaha. He is just not good under the pressure.
| mZuzek said: Ugh, man. That was fucking embarassing. I just fucking hate some of these players that somehow keep making it into the national team, somehow keep getting picked for each match, despite not ever doing shit. And I think today was probably the most I've seen together on that pitch. Demichelis, Otamendi, Biglia, Banega, Lavezzi, Higuain and Pastore, that's the ones that come to mind. These players simply have no business on the national team. I'm all for giving players a chance, and these guys had their chances, and they just failed. Maybe Pastore I can understand, and it's ok to keep him around and give him a bit more time to prove himself, but the other ones are just pathetic. Higuain should have been forever banned from the national team after that miss a year ago, and yet here he is, playing again and ruining our title hopes again. I'm still not over the ridiculousness of that moment right at the end of the second half. Messi created and delivered a perfectly easy goal... onto the feet of Lavezzi. Well let's just put it this way, when I saw who had the chance to clinch the title, I already knew it wasn't going to happen. It was always very clear too when Higuain and Banega walked up to take the penalties that they were going to miss. I simply don't understand how the fuck these guys keep playing for their nation. And yet, everyone will be blaming Messi. |
I agree with most except for Pastore, we need more time to judge him. Lavezzi is a fucking joke, and Higuain is unveliebable. If we could blame anyone for the WC and Copa America defeat then it's him.
Also we lost Di Maria after 25 minutes and he is one of the most important players. But luck isn't on his side.
Another defeat, we have 5 already. I think I'm getting accustomed to this. I won't expect anything more from this team anymore, a simple second place is ok. I accept the fact that this team won't win anything because some players lack "huevos". And our DT fucking sucks.

As I said, Pastore I can live with. Maybe he does deserve more time, yes. The other ones, no, absolutely not. |
Definitely, they need to go. And the DT too. Bring Simeone already.

And what exactly makes you say this? |
He used to play for my team FC Porto.
The team that had great CBs like: Fernando Couto, Pepe, Jorge Andrade, Ricardo Carvalho, Mangala, etc...
He's been playing well on Valencia and he'll be snatched up by the likes of MU or R.Madrid.

South American teams suffer from coachliteXD
You have some horrible tacticians at the helm of your national teams.
Brazil, Colombia and Argentina, have the worst coaches imo. Those teams have only talent and no team spirit.
There's no willingness to win or sacrifice for the national pride.
Chile and Uruguay, are the perfect example of teams that leave blood on the pitch literally for their ountry.
