Neymar's injury should finally force FIFA to change their paradigm on close contact during matches, and perhaps their instance on yellow cards. This should heavily favour the European teams as the "close combat" style of game seem to be what allowed a lot of the technically inferior squads to make it through the round of 16 and the quarterfinals.

Did you even saw the colombian's matches?

Neymar didn't played well on the last 2 matches. Trust me, the Team without Neymar will play much better because they won't need to focus on a single player that keeps loosing the ball most of the time.

Germany is done. Tenham uma boa viagem para casa. xD

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

The only teams that got trough the quarter finals are Brazil and Germany and if youre realy saying that Germany doesnt use a "close combat" style of game youre mad, every team does that nowadays.

Also no technically inferior team won on the round of 16 the favorites and theoretically more technical teams won every match.

This might even make Brazil stronger in a sense of spirit.

Neymar didn't do much vs Chile or Colombia.

I know I wouldn't want to be playing them right now.

Ye he didnt play well today, still psycologically its terrible for Brazil to loose a player like him to an injury like this.  Somethign like this has happened before with Brazil, in 1962 Pelé lef the World Cup on the 3rd match of group stage and Brazul won that Cup, however we had Garrincha and he bossed the rest fo the World Cup, we dont have Garrincha now.

As WCs go you often find moments where a team loses a star player then goes on to play better, this happens very often as well. Someone also explain how in the f**k Fred is still in the Brazilian team, seriously it reminds me of Italy playing Luca Toni years back and the man could hit a barn door or better yet England playing Heskey.

Neymar fractured the vertebra. He's out of the World Cup.

Yep, Brazil was really violent on this match heh guys?

Ye Brazil was beeing violent, give me a break, before cracking Neymars vertebra Zuniga had stepped on Hulks knee and didnt even get a yellow card, he shouldve been sent off. And Tiago Silva gets a yellow card for freaking beeing there when the goal keepers decides to kick the ball, ye that was a foul but that wasnt passive of a yellow fucking card.

Were gona win this World Cup Neymarless, Willian is gona replace him and we gona demolish Germany. Brazil has not won the World Cup 5 times already by accident. The 6th title is comming.

And someone give a trophy to David Luiz already hes playing a phenomenal world cup.

That is the spirit! I believe that Neymar's injury will make every player want to give his best to win.

Let's just remember that in 1962 Brazil lost Pelé during the WC and still won. We are 5 times champions bacause everyone in our teams knows to play and we will prove it winning our 6th WC.

It's hard to explain, but it is like if what happened today gave most Brazilians a new feeling that we will win and that we will play better than ever the next matches.

WTF, one of the most serious injuries in a WC ever. Whoever did this needs banning.

Also worrying about our next game even more. They will play without Neymar but they will play double es strong FOR Neymar.

Unbelievable how much luck Germany has. Neymar is out.

Damn, Brazil already lacked offensive quality before that injury. If a guy like Fred plays five games... gosh, Brazil is so screwed.

See above post. I think this makes the game actually harder for us.

It makes the match more unpredictable for the Germans who would have been around Neymar like a pack of wolves as that's the direction the ball would have gone now they have to contend with the possibility of maybe Willian linking up with Oscar which can go either way as both are technically gifted. I have a feeling this will throw the Germans off.
