Indeed sigh. I just sat up all night and watched 4 replays because I couldn't sleep. Seriously football tonight would have been perfect for me.

How fun would it be if neither Brazil, Netherlands or Germany would reach the semis^^

In that scenario Argentina already lost to Switzerland :P

Tbh seeing some of the big teams lose out before the semi's really wouldn't surprise me. I already feel like there is a complete lack of your typical top nations. We have Brazil, Argentina, France, Germany and Netherlands left, that's it.
Shit where did England, Spain, Italy and Portugal go? It's like Europe forgot to show up this year.
Also how the fuck does the FIFA rankings work? Thing looks like a joke I swear.

Unless the ref stops the game, the players can play, attack and score. It wasnt aganst the rules nor cheating. Laser pointing and ball kicking like that was. Your bias against Russians is showing again. If you have to criticize them, criticize their awful offensive |
I know it's not against the rules, but that's what I'm talking about. Football is the only sport in which you can faul and hurt another player and when he is being treated outside of the pitch, the play goes on and the team of the violator has a one man advantage. Ridiculous, it should be changed.
Laser pointing or kicking the ball isn't against any rules. First one was done by a fan, to which football rules do not apply, moreover it is sadly a common thing in Europe (Spain especially). I have never seen it affect any play and I'm sure it didn't really matter here as well. Kicking the ball just isn't fair play, but isn't explicitly against the rules, I believe :P
I'm not denying that :) Seeing them lose makes my heart sing :) Even more so, since they absolutely didn't deserve to advance, Algeria was clearly the better team in the course of the whole group phase.
Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!
My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/
My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.
IM already super nervous, I just want someone to tell me Brazil si gona win, like whithout a shadow of doubt. Someone from the future or something than Id be able to relax and watch the game. Im so nervous, this isnt your typical round of 16 game, Chile is much stronger than a team any group winner should be playing against on the round of 16, give me Algeria, Nigeria, Greece I realy didnt want to play this Chile, they have a very strong side.
Predictions for the round of 16
Brazil 4 x 2 Chile
Uruguay 1 x 3 Colombia
France 3 x 1 Nigeria
Germany 3 x 1 Algeria
Netherlands 2 x 2 Mexico (Netherlands PK)
Costa Rica 2 x 1 Greece
Argentina 3 x 2 Switzerland
Belguium 2 x 2 USA (USA PK)

True, and how much did we stumble to get in the WC in the first place? If it wasn't for a CR7 at 100% and particularly inspired on the away game vs Sweden, we wouldn't have made it through the play-offs. |
Can`t argue with that.
But the truth is, at least in these 3 games, it was clear that the ones who failed were the players. I`ll admit that i didn`t see the 1st game, from what i was told and from what i heard, it was no different than the other games.
Not that Paulo Bento couldn`t have done better. If all those injuries were a fruit of the excessive heat or in other words, a consequence of bad adaptation to weather conditions, then, he really is to blame.
The injuries did hurt our plans aswell.
For example, losing Coentrão was more than noticable in the game against USA . USA only attacked on the left side of Portugal`s defense and André Almeida, no matter how fit he was for the job, also getting injured didn`t help in that game.
I think we must have broken some kind of record in injuries at a WC.
