Well, his best season was arguably 13/14 where he played as left midlfielder behind the BBC. Messi in midfield though... good luck defending then

Messi in the midfield is a norm during Argentina's matches. The reason Mascherano and Vidal are playing in my 11 is due to the fact that both produce industrial football, which allows Messi to be mostly in the opposition's midfield.
