It's a very dumb rule. I agree.

But I also like the way Atletico play, I don't find it boring. You make the best of what you have.

The problem is that Atletico has really awesome players. I think people just assume that they have to play that way because the players are not so good, but I'd say that's not true. We could say taht about Leicester, but at least they don't play dirty tricks. They just play defensive.

Pep doesn't really seem to have a plan B for situations does he?

I wouldn't blame Pep for everything. It seems more like execution to me during the second leg. There's no way we could get a perfect game with how Athletico was putting pressure on Bayern. The first leg always sets the tone for the rest of the two-legged match and we just didn't have enough composure to recover when the offside trap failed in the second half.

They are awesome when they play for Simone.

He breathed life back into Filipe Luis and Torres. Fucking Torres! The guy was so over and now he is a decent CF. A play maker and scores very important goals.

I very much enjoy watching Carrasco and Gabi too. Griezmann is world class.

But again, You just can't play offensively against Neymar, Messi and Suarez and expect to win. It may happen but you don't expect it to happen.

He won. His team was the better team. A dumb rule stopped him, that's all. Muller's wasted penalty could've given them the edge.

It's really hard to score 3 times against Atletico in one match.

Yeah, I've nothing against deffensive football. I dislike it, but it gives results to some teams. The problem is when Atletico do some questionable stuff, like throwing balls into the field in the middle of a rival's counter-attack (that happened last week), when you purposely pull off a fight against the rival's players to win some time... Those are tactics that they pull off a lot when they're in problems. And that's what I despise.

That I agree with.

I think Simone is gonna miss the finale. Did he really think hitting the referee is a good idea? what a nutcase lol

He totally lost it XD. They're really agressive in the field sometimes. They really try to intimidate the referees sometimes, so I'm not surprised. They do these things on a daily basis. Well, good news for me is that with this win we're officially the only team which was capable of winning Atletico on a two matches qualifying round. For what it's worth

The rule is fine it rewards away performances, if it's hard to score against them then that shows how good they are.

I disagree it makes no sense. You play both away and home, shouldn't matter where you score your hard earned goals. You show how good you are by defending your goal in two games, now both were equally good in that regard but no extra time played because of stupid rule. Just keep it simple, goal = goal.

Another subject, what are we thinking about City's chances? Is David Silva able to play?
