Hi guys and girls,

What games do you think that define last gen?, by that I mean that it leave a mark on your gaming lives and the game industry. games for PC on that era/consoles/handhelds.

For me most of them where from PS brand:

PS3:

Last of Us(I haven't play this completely only the demo from ascension, waiting for the PS4 version)

Uncharted series (unmatched visuals the whole console generation hell I don't even see a PC game that came close to uncharted series, awesome story, awesome gameplay, great MP part. this an what a call a definitive complete package!)

God of War series (stunning presentation mix with gameplay)

MGS 4 (story telling and careness of the character, snake !!!)

Killzone 2 (and actual hard FPS game, run and gun and your death!!)

Gran Turismo 5 (the actual unmatched racing simulator)

Infamous 1 and 2 (open game world with awesome visuals, awesome gameplay, fun to play. what other open world game offers that ?)

Xbox 360:

Gears of War 1 and I mean only 1, Epic butcher the gameplay in 2 and 3 and the prequel.(cole, baird,domique, fenix the whole game was entertaining to see and gameplay was great along side with the great visuals, I played the 360 version and PC version)

PC:

Skyrim (what can I say mod galore, alongside the awesome free roaming, character bullying, falling of the cliff, fus ro dah bears out of cliff, lidia too, and trolls, good times!)

Fallout 3 (damn that VATS addiction!!, surreal sidquests, cannibals dammn!)

Sleeping Dogs( open world game, with an great story, great weapon gameplay, fighting mechanics )

This are the games that I remember right away, so I think those are best ones.

Definitely GTA5. A family member got the game and I'm still waiting to play. He beat the whole game with a badly broken controller. I can't play that way, it don't do the game or me justice.

Demons Souls for me, it was the saving grace out of what was a pretty lackluster generation.

When I think of last gen I think about the huge increase in popularity in FPS's and when I think about the game that started that I think of Cod4. 

These three games influenced the entire generation the most, in my opinion.

Wii Sports (2006)
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007)
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (2007)

Most games owe something to these games.

GTA5 was, to me, everything wrong with last gen. 

Terrible characters that are over-the-top violent for almost no reason, mowing down everything in sight. The story was crap, GTA Online was forced in and broken as hell, and it was filled with shitty pay-to-win aspects. It resonated the love-fest for shooters last generation. And this is coming from someone who loved GTA4, at least that game had a realistic main character who had reasons for the atrocities he comitted.
