Is he seriously trying to sell the fact that Nintendo didn't talk with developers about what they planned with the system as "they're afraid of what Nintendo does"? No they aren't afraid, if at all they are annoyed by Nintendo for not talking to them and asking them what they want from a system.

If Nintendo just arrogantly slaps the finished console on third parties tables, gives them this tablet controller that nobody asked for and expect them to implement it in all their games in a meaningful way, which btw even Nintendo has hardly managed, then it's not surprising that some developers aren't too happy about that.

Nintendo should realize that they aren't the kings of gaming world anymore and that they need to work together with third parties, cause third parties really don't have a reaons to just work for them, after all they have enough other platforms, where they stuff sells alot better, they can make their games on.

The problem is they worked with ONE third party this time around, that being EA. They thought if they could get the biggest onboard others would follow. Then their unprecedented support fell apart.

Next time they need to start with the guys who stuck with them Activision and Ubisoft. Then apprach some of the guys who make the block busters for their opinion. Then build the console.

Good 'ole John Lucas, alive and kicking. This guy would say anything to keep Nintendo free of any responsibility for any of their troubles.

the biggest issue with these conspiracy theoriest is that they believe 3rd parties have an obligation towards nintendo to make their console succesful.

that is how playstation and micrososft become sucessful. Great 3rd party support. however they either moneyhatted or provided something thise devs needed to get them onboard.

exactly, third parties have no obligation to support nintendo. they need incentive to do so. the platfom is not lucrative and the platform holder are not showing any sorts of financial support.
