I hereby put out a formal request to this VGC community. I delcare that effective immediately and without prejudice, we as a unified community of gaming lords and ladies henceforth agree on a single name or acronym for usage in regards to the "Xbox One" platform.
Xbox One is the formal name and that shall never be used in any forum due to the uneccesary hardships this presents on the typer. However, as of this time there is no single mannerism by which the community shortens Xbox One into a simplified and meaningful way.
Some use Xbone but that is seen as offensive to the few.
Some use X1, however that is simply stupid as that format should be solely to refer to the original Xbox.
I would like to suggest, nay, declare that the one an only shortenend name that is not only unique to the Xbox One, has relationship to previous names, and is absolutely perfect in its singular definition is the "180" or X180.
It contains the X1 reference to the actual name.
It has direct reference to its predecessor the X360 in obvious terms of degrees.
It has a strong relationship to the multitude of reversals Microsoft has taken from DRM, 100% digital, digital sharing, and now Kinect.
This is not a troll thread. This is a serious question. Xbone is not liked but accepted, X1 is stupid, so X180 makes the most sense. After all we called it the X720 on the same logic for quite some time. I think X180 makes sense at this point.
