^ Wow those shadows, the lighting, the sprinklers, looks awesome. A shame they had to stick a lens flare in there. Still no next-gen 3rd person camera with a quality prime lens, lens hood and anti glare filter. Maybe some day they can add in an automatic flare removal algorithm.

I can kinda understand it in that view. The only way your going to get the close to the back of a car travelling that fast in real-life is via a camera and lens flare works in that instance.

If it happens in the cockpit view then it's a little more annoying.

OT: Looking very nice with a great sense of speed and arcade play style.

True, they need that view to show off the car. I never drive in that view anyway. Hopefully they aren absent in cockpit, close to window, hood and bumper view. I don't know from when this gif is, but no lens flares :)

looks OK.

Get outa here. It's the best looking racer I've ever seen on a console.

its lifeless like every other racer...

Derp, what a silly statement. Just because something doesn't have weird and whacky design doesn't mean it is ok, it means you have a preference and clearly are judging something on what you want rather than what you have in front of you.

Too much cinematic cheap and useless effects.

Give me GT/Forza true life realism (not cinema-realism) please. DOF and motion blur need to die quickly.

What's the point of using a good AA, great lighting on high res textures on cars and environments if you blur the shit of them with cheap DOF & motion blur?

EDIT: I forgot lens flares. They also need to die. I don't want to be behind a camera when I play videogames. I want to be the driver/character and see stuff like if I was seeing them with my own eyes...not through the malfunctionning eye of a 20th century old device.

Gt realism?! The last 2 GT games are some of the most horrible looking games last gen. They looked dire and were anything but realistic. DOF etc actually add great immersion when done well - play metro 2033 on full and other games like that and you will see that they are needed otherwise your brain just goes "nope, no blur so that ain't real".
