Forums - Nintendo - Wii U Gamepad vs Dreamcast VMU. FIGHT!

While the Dreamcast is one of my favorite consoles ever, I never understood the point of the VMU.

I knew it was supposed to be able to play simplified versions of some games, much like a handheld, but I never knew exactly how. Best I got was two stick-figures playing tennis (and saying that is giving it more credit than it deserves), while I was playing Virtua Tennis on the big screen.

In the end, the VMU was nothing more to me than a regular memory card and it could just as well never had the screen on it in the first place. Same as a N64, PS or later GC memory card.

Gamepad is better, but all those hours i spent in the chao garden with sonic adventure 1 and 2....AWESOME!

What you got is the best that the VMU could do. Compared to it, the original Gameboy was sophisticated.

So that was 'it' huh? That's disappointing.
