First TV Spot for Mario Kart 8 Premiers on Cartoon Network, Showcases Anti-Gravity Racing

Nintendo has finally revealed a new 30-second TV commercial for Mario Kart 8‘s release in North America, which features the all new anti-gravity racing mechanic (credit to Youtuber Mariohenri90 for the footage).

The TV spot, which premiered on Cartoon Network, is the usual cheesy fare that Nintendo is well known for, but it nonetheless delivers the message of “flippin’ fun” just fine. It’s also nice to see the Wii U Gamepad prominently displayed at the end of the commercial instead of smooshed into the background like usual. Still slightly butthurt about Rainbow road not being in the commercial but hopefully, it does the trick! Wish it included the free game promotion cause I am sure it would give more incentive for people to buy it if it was mentioned in the commercial
