Ubisoft has kept the resolution and framerate combination of Watch_Dogs a secret until now, but on the pre-order page for the game on PlayStation official site something quite interesting has appeared, as you can see in the picture.

The site boasts that the PS4 version is “the True Watch_Dogs Experience” and mentions clearly that it runs at 60 frames per second, 1080p, which is something that was never specifically mentioned before.

Interestingly enough that appears only on the North American website, while no mention of it is made on sites for Europe and Latin America and on the Sony Entertainment Network storefront. Even the Japanese page, which was updated very recently as well, doesn’t show anything about it.

On the other hand the equivalent page for Microsoft’s Xbox One shares no detail on resolution or framerate (as you can see at the bottom of the post).

At the moment it’s unclear if the listing is a mistake or an actual stealthy reveal, and we reached out to both Ubisoft and Sony for a comment on the issue.

Isn't WiiU's version the true Watchdog Experience, with the Gamepad and all that?

No mention of those specs on the X1's game page.

Depending on how much (or little) Ubisoft integrates the gamepad, the PS4 will have the best console experience. If a year and a half (plus the R&D years)* isn't long enough for Nintendo themselves to fully implement gamepad functionality into games, i doubt Ubisoft can just up and do it.

*EDIT:  Nintendo showed the gamepad in 2011's E3 (if I'm not mistaken)...So its been 3 years next month

Seen it earlier on Gaf, and I'm sceptical towards that. It's either an unlocked 30fps game that will indeed hit 60fps if you stare at the sky or ground, a typo, or it's true (still expecting some fluctuation but close to the 60fps target) and my mind will be blown.

The true console experience.

You'd have to pay 3x as much for a PC to get the true true experience.

I'm guessing this will go under "unlocked frame rate" but we still yet to know how much it dips.

Would have been better if they increased the graphics and settled for 30fps.

It is the true experience of the latest trailer but the true experience of their first trailer lies in the PC Master Race (For those that spend enough that is)
