Forums - Sony - Driveclub upgrade wont vanish if ps+ ends

Glad the listened, and didnt just try and defend it like some blind sheep that were posting on here yesterday.

Bravo Sony.

Should never have come to that, basic PR: don't piss off your customers. But good that Sony recognised things could have gone very sour for them and quickly moved to calm the angry waters.

That's too bad. Sony, I am disappoint. -1

Odd. I assumed it was a mistake originally.

Apparently not, it was intentional. But no harm done, its fixed now.

If it was an accident or a miscommunication, yea, no harm done. But I don't think it bodes well that they intentionally made an attempt at having stuff you purchased with your own money still be tied to a subsciption. The "upgrade" via PS+ saves you $10, but it's no different than getting games, outright, at discounted prices via PS+. They're trying to test the waters with some shady stuff, to see if everyone is paying attention. That's not a good MO

How exactly do we know that the first statement wasn't a mistake?

Hold on, if you had the PS+ version and upgraded to the full version like you were buying the game essentially, they were originally going to stop you having the full version when your PS+ ran out? That just sounds too stupid for words.

Or was this an assumption by idiots blown up?

Hmm, pie.

That's why complaining about bullshit decisions is sometimes good.

Yeah, this is what I expected. I still think it was a communications mistake somehow. It really didn't make any sense otherwise.

becasue they would have said so.

Nope. Not necessarily. The same argument could be used if it was not a mistake. They would have said so to show that they listen to gamers and gain their support.

We don't know. Simple as that.

afaik an evolution dev made a post that read like you'd lose access even to the upgraded version, but as devs don't handle that side of the business I still had hope that was a mistake/miscommunication

it would have been a bad move/signal by Sony, so I'm happy it's not going to happen
