Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft is winning me over.

Sony only has a Last of Us remake? Kinda ironic that MS's biggest exclusive this holiday is a remake of a 10 year old Halo game.

Also, MS is winning people over? 7.5M vs 4.5M and growing each week. Doesn't seem that way.

Funny thread though..

In all fairness, you will not see the sales improvement right away and over 1 night.

I know many people who are considering getitng an x1 and some that will, some are waiting for a price drop.  Give it a couple of months, it will show MS is winning some people over..no matter what some people may think :-p

You expect to see a change when TitanFall releases and the xb1 gets deals which make it cheaper than a ps4. That surely helped, but the gap is still growing at the moment.

Ya because the 11+ million gamers who currently bought a X1/PS4 are buying everything you listed. I learned long ago thats lists are pointless and have no context. Some games are worth more then others. Indies aren't system sellers. Indies do not have the same weight as a AAA title or a 1st party IP.

Allow me to trim the fat and give you a real list that prospective gamers will look at:

Uncharted 4 (not even dated yet), The Order 1886, Infamous, Killzone, Driveclub

Only 2 of those games are out now. So you now can at least understand why some people think PS4's library isn't quite as robust as its hardware sales.

so it's infamous and killzone versus Forza 5 and dead rising 3

i guess neither are robust then

edit: TF isn't exclusive. And if you include KI then i have to include Resogun, which everyone agrees is better than KI.

Typical, sweeping things that are clearly doing something for the platform under the rug. Cover it up for it doesn't exist. Titanfall didn't help sell any X1's....let's forget how its becoming the best selling X1 game of the gen because it isn't a exclusive. It doesn't represent at all what X1 has to offer against PS4. lol please this mentality astounds me.....to think that non-exclusives (while not available on the rival) have 0 impact and place in discussion.

Killer Instinct is a 1st party IP, not indie, and is highly adopted being F2P. Excellent fighters are hard to come by (considering its lack of content at launch made its meta suffer), exclusive one is even more of a gem. Resogun is a indie game and most definately not a system seller. Context.

Resogun has about the same pull as Geometry Wars in 2005. A great launch indie game, but don't seriously think people bought the hardware to play that.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Resogun is also a 1st party IP, not indie.

TF helped sell X1s? maybe a little. but the gap between both systems increased instead of reducing. because, you know, it was going up against an actual exclusive.
still doesn't change the fact that there is no reason to buy a XB1 to play TF. you have to buy a PS4 to play Infamous. KZ SF. Resogun. Etc. So no, Titanfall doesn't count in any universe.

Its called "context". Some games have more pull then others. Titanfall, though multiplat, is not on PS4. Its relevance allows it to behave like an exclusive.

More games doesn't mean better. 360 has more games, more 70-79, 80-89, 90+ games then PS3 on metacritic, I shit you not. Yet you would find it hard to see anyone call 360 the superior games console to PS3. Go figure. Let me give you a current condensed list:

X1: Killer Instinct, Dead Rising 3, Forza 5, Titanfall

PS4: Killzone SF, Infamous.

Cut the fat and the niche and you see the real list.

Sadly, though you may not consider it, Killer Instinct is niche (download only and a fighting game) and Titanfall isn't exclusive like all the others no matter how you swing it, so sales will be lost on Xbox One on those other platforms.

2 each sounds nice and fair though, I mean 2 good games.

Hmm, pie.

My advice is, if you can, purchase all consoles.

Do what I do, enter as many competitions you can and hope for the best.

KI is also free to download and $20 for all fighters. Exclusivity has nothing to do with it. Titanfall is a system seller and it is hard to deny that Xbox gamers use it as a differentiating point against PS4. While not exclusive, it clearly has more pull and relevance then any of the real exclusives I listed as well.

You know if the OP made this thread where he said Sony was winning him over and the X1 had just one game he likes he would have been seen as someone who is pushing an agenda. But now people state: "but its just his opinion!!!11" I'm getting really tired of this hypocritical bullshit from certain vgchartz members. It obviously goes both ways but it's just tiresome to see it happen every time (I do not mean to offend the OP with this statement, everyone has the right to prefer one console over another).

On Topic: Glad you feel this way OP. I also feel Phil Spencer and XBOX have been working really hard to deliver great games on XB1. I'm quite sad to see Sunset OVerdrive exclusive on X1 because it looks amazing wish it came to PS4. I myself might be buying a PS4 at the end of this year (if E3 does not suck too  much). Because I feel Sony is slowly winning me over. Everyone has their certain types of taste to pick a console of choice. But for me personally the best console is neither......Right Now (tm)

Still doesn't change how Resogun has about the same pull as Geometry Wars did. Its a great but small, bit sized game.

Now that Titanfall statement is just grossly wrong. It sold plenty X1's. The gap increased, but by a slower pace then before Titanfall. That is something you overlook. Going up against an actual exclusive......thats funny considering its outselling that "actual exclusive" despite sales being on 2 other platforms. And you say Titanfall didn't help much....please.

Still doesn't change the fact that many DID buy a X1 just to play Titanfall, your rationale be damned. Putting Resogun on the same playing field as KZ and Infamous.....horribly lacking in context and clearly a relevance difference between Resogun and the others.

If it's not an exclusive then it has no pull

And infamous increased PS4 weekly sales more than TF

I can play TF just fine on my PC. Don't need a XB1 for that.

Until SO is out, XB1 has 0 exclusives released in 2014. "Where the games are" <- lol.

Kinect Sports Rival released on 2014. Please don't talk without knowing facts.
