Hotline Miami 2 is my most anticipated game for Vita right now and overall the indie support is great but Sony should really show the way for bigger developers to support the handheld too. Indies are fun but i didn't buy Vita for that i bought it for games like Uncharted and Littlebigplanet, indies are really a bonus though.

I can't wait for them to disappoint me at E3 again and forget about Vita again

I wouldn't worry about it. SCEA have done nothing of note really for Vita since launch. It's when Gamecom delivers absolutley nothing for Vita either that I will worry.

You're not the only one looking forward to Hotline Miami 2 looks fantastic and Vita is the home of such games, they just seem to feel so much more at home on the system.

I would love more big stuff though, Killzone looked incredible, I think it's going to be a while before any mobile platform title looks better than that and I'd really love to see a decent budget title be able to push the Vita to it's capabilities.

So mainly Indy games, but no AAA games?

That depends on point of view. For example a games like God Eater 2, Toukiden, Sword art online hollow fragment, Atelier series  or Freedom Wars are considered AAA games in Japan. Do you share that opinion? Its in the eye of the beholder.

If you mean next GTA, as the OP said, its unlikely. The Vita is a niche machine, and its good at it. Lets not fool ourselves into thinking its magically gonna get wide market appeal. Wide market games like GTA wont find the numbers they are hoping for. Quite honestly i'm still impressed by the numbers AC:Liberation and CoD: Declassified pulled.

The lack of effort is just sad, they could easily turn it around if they gave it the same sort of mentality as they do with PS4. Games like Tearaway and Killzone show how it's done, such a waste really, that there ain't more.

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

Sadly, I'm sure they'll all be indie games or old ports. The Vita REALLY needs some more major titles like Killzone Mercenary, Tearaway, Uncharted, LBP and Gravity Rush. Thankfully, Gravity Rush 2 is on the way, but it's just not enough. Tearaway came out six months ago and there's still not currently a single announced Western Sony game on the way for it, and it sounds like E3 will be almost purely a PS4 show.

Indies are fine, it's more games, I suppose, but not the kind I could ever get excited about. The Vita was proposed with an MGS4 demo, and reveals of great-looking games like Uncharted, Killzone and Gravity Rush, and then once those were out the door, there was...nothing. Sony just haven bothered at all, and I get that they're trying to push the PS4, but indie games, a Borderlands 2 port and HD Collections of Sly and God of War just aren't enough.

It's not just Sony, where are Square Enix? They almost single-handedly made the PSP worth having, and yet they've released nothing but a port of FFX HD for the Vita. Konami, too, the PSP had some killer MGS games, and despite the show of support at the Vita's reveal, they've only delivered a HD MGS collection to the platform.

It really needs some big names. Hopefully we'll have a blowout at Gamescom, after the PS4 has had its time in the sun.

This guy probably gets hyped to take a shit.

You're clearly forgetting Sony's big Western AAAAAAAAAA Vita release of 2014!

I'm sorry, I couldn't resist!

Isn't this guy reportedly a big fat liar?

Quite the opposite. He hyped jrpgs on vita and delivered the most wanted from the list of requested games. A game that the company itself said wouldn't be localized due to low hardware sales. His work is behind the scenes, so we don't know of all the games he's responsible for, but we do know about some important ones, such as Football Manager (currently best selling game on the vita EU store) and Tales of hearts R.

It's also the highest charting Vita title in the UK all formats chart in a long time so physical sales were solid too. Definitely a game I'd see more people wanting digitally though.

Shahid's solid, it really annoys me seeing so much hate towards him. He's doing the best he can with an awful hand. He's responsible for many of the great games coming out this year in the West.

Yeah, I forgot about the physical sales being better than anything that has been released on psvita in ages. Considering his probably limited budget, I think he's doing great. Also considering how little attention Sony paid to the handheld at last E3 even though they did have quite a few titles to show, Shahid's enthusiasm is somewhat refreshing.

I used to be annoyed by Shahid, but he sure delivered. The guy is legit. If he ever managed to bring FF Type-0 over to the West as a Vita port, he'll be a Vita God.

Right now I'm asking him on twitter for a #wRPGVita with games like Diablo 3, Morrowind HD, KOTOR, etc. Would be mindblowing.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!
