Forums - Gaming - Nintendo Creating a New Console for Emerging Markets, Including China

What does partly designed mean? GTFOH!! Iphone 5c was, according to apple, designed for the low income people of the US. You´re just making assumptions!! You have to understand that middle class people in like countries like Brazil, or any country ( I´m from Brazil, I know better), will never be satisfied with a third rate product.

You´re probably one of those people who think we still have SD tvs in our living rooms.

Okay, you're right I made assumptions. However, I said nothing about what you have or don't have, you too are making an assumption (Fyi, i'm originally from the Philippines). I was merely saying what i thought Apple was thinking. I didn't say you'd be satisfied with third rate products, in fact, my iPhone 6 comment says otherwise.

Around the Network

I am Argentinean, and I agree with the brazilian poster justiceiro.
I think Nintendo would print cash if they sold very cheap consoles with 50 Nintendo SNES, Nes, and N64 classics built in, something like that is what I imagine they would do.

By the way, I own a Wii U, and I had to register as Canadian in order to be able to use the e shop or virtual console, most latin americans do that, and register as americans or canadians.

I think Nintendo will struggle to get a foothold in China. The PC market is well established in Asia with free 2 play and MMO's being the big thing for core gamers. Furthermore, with mobile phones and tablets taking off I don't see much room in consumers minds and wallets for dedicated consoles.

With that said, there is some potential there, so it's certainly worth pursuing for all the console manufacturers.
