Ps4 version looks quite a bit better to me. But it is not as big of an upgrade as I would have expected. Not to bad though, is there a difference in framerates at all?

The PS4 version looks better, but the early videos showing off the characters from the PS4 version of the game and what we've actually received is a bit disappointing. Hopefully next year they start pushing the PS4 hardware since they'll have a full year with it this time.

1080p, yes, but when starting up the game they actually suggest you set your PS3 to 720p for optimal gaming experience. You will run into jittery gameplay if you don't.

As for your thoughts on the differences, you have to understand that the PS4 not only runs at a higher native resolution and better textures throughout, but it has thousands of new and accurate animations for the players, including their pre-batting rituals (The wierd shit each of them do before stepping into the batters box), runs @60fps, the stadiums were rebuilt, the crowd is significantly upgraded and dynamic with tons of individual animations as well, much higher quality audio, much superior lighting, etc... So much of this game looks and runs better than it's PS3 counterpart.

The big issue is the eyes. Other than the players eyes the PS4 version looks, sounds and runs great. As someone who has both the differences are easy to spot when playing each.

Try playing each and not even side by side. Just hoping from one to the other you will see things stick out like a sore thumb. The PS3 version for example looks totally washed out in comparison when viewed on a TV and not in a tiny little IGN video.
