Well I was saying in a different manner, companies always observe the market... they try to be the leader and have the cream, but if something gets big and they haven't before they will invest on it. But it isn't as if MS copied eye toy to make Kinect or Sony copied Wii to make Move... they are usually experimentating with different things and the ones that will suceed see the light of day, and sometime they were deving even tought thinking not much would come of it and a competitor releases a product that make sucess and then they rush to release their project.
