I also wanted to nominate Assassin's Creed because of boringness galore, God of War Ascension because it's broken and Grand Theft Auto IV because it was utterly disappointing. But, alas, at least I had minor fun in those games...

The game's completely based on the movie, so I only thought about that and forgot the book just now. My appologies. Should have thought about it though, because excluding history and architecture books, the only books I ever read where the three Lord of the Rings books !

I haven't played the game myself. Heck, I didn't even know they had a game for the movie. I thought they had the MMO's for that. 

 

Return of the King is my favorite Lotr book, not to mention my favorite book of all time. I haven't heard of anyone liking the movie but hating the book, so I started wondering. :P

Yeah, there's a Two Towers and Return of the King movie tie-in game.

The Two Towers game doubles as a Fellowship of the Ring game, guess they forgot to make one or something. I don't have that one, but I do have Return of the King on PC. They're basically bad hack-n-slash games with some random elements from other genres thrown in, ridden with bad level-design, horrible and simplistic mechanics and other amateurism. I wouldn't recommend it. I also have The Third Age on GameCube (the last EA game I ever got, and it was a gift even). That's an RPG and follows a story parallel to the three movies. That one's actually not that bad and I'd recommend it to LotR fans.

I didn't read the books until some time after I saw the movies and both are superb. RotK is probably also my favorite of the books, though of the movies, while it's extremely close, I probably like TT the best .
