I know it's a conspiracy theory, but I wonder if this is testing the waters for digital only full game releases. With the Titanfall bundle and Forza bundle being digital only, I think Microsoft is making efforts to change the consumer mindset on purchasing physical copies.

I know the release isn't a mistake because Major Nelson announced it on his blog. Could this be intentional?

Many bundles had the games as digital download on 360 already. Even in 2010 or so...

It's just cheaper for them and yes, maybe they also try to get people to buy online since they make much more money with the sale of digital games but they didn't start with it on Xbox One.

I'm aware of that. I've been buying digital for a long time on my 360. I'm specifically talking about a full retail game release. Those always have a physical copy. Maybe this is testing the waters for full retail game digital only releases. Or, like the movie industry is doing, release the digital version a month prior to the physical release.

Just said that because you mentioned the Forza and Titanfall bundles but these are only the logical consequences after what they did on 360. Would be weird to get physical copies this gen if they didn't have that last gen with many bundles.
