Forums - Sales - Looking for older console sales figures.

Well, I haven't had much luck finding anything else. Here's a chart based on the data I found in that one link I found:

I'm going to assume that the NPD tracked the PS1 as long as they did the PS2, so I left three years blank in until I can find the numbers I need to fill it in. I still keep running into the same dead ends and finding the same sites I found using other search terms. I'm going to try registering for NeoGAF to contact the people there who seem to have all the old NPD figures and see if they can fill in the gap. As for annual European sales for sixth-gen or older systems, I still haven't found any leads, much less any numbers.

@bigjon. We're talking about hardware here, not software. And again, shipped ≠ sold. While the gap between the two can be slim, sometimes it can be quite wide. Roughly a third of the Wii U systems shipped to North America in Q4 2012 were unsold at the end of that year. Same for Japan. Meanwhile, the Wii nearly sold out in Q4 2006 in NA, but in Japan only about 80% of Wii systems that were shipped were sold. The discrepancies between shipped and sold are sufficent to where you can't really subtitute sales numbers with shipment numbers.

Might help... or not lame.

The other ones actually have other links on the wiki... down here didn't copy over the info though :(
