I guess you haven't looked at sales of the games in the franchise lately.  Even EA's NHL series is more popular.

No its not the NBA and College Football are more popular and College Football is only going to get more popular since divison 1 has a small playoff now.  As for the NBA not only is it more popular in the US its miles more popular all around the world.

Games that always sell less then a million units aren't system sellers the only sports games that are system sellers are Madden, FIFA and the NBA 2K series and all those are multi platform.

I say it again its not a system seller I highly doubt that anyone would buy a PS4 just for MLB the show.

All those polls are misleading just look at TV ratings and actual attandance (way more sellouts and games close to sellouts) the NBA is way ahead of MLB in both of those plus like I said before the NBA is also way more popular world wide.

Overall attandance mabye because most baseball stadiums hold over twice as many people and they have twice as many games but when it comes sellouts and near sellouts per game the NBA is way ahead as for overseas popularity the NBA is also way ahead.  My guess is that the NBA is more poplar just in China then the MLB is the entire rest of the world outside North America.

Wow you have no clue the NBA is hugely popular in China.  Baseball might be the biggest sport in Japan but the MLB still isn't very popular there since they got their own league.

That poll is basically BS the only reason baseball is somewhat popular is because they have a lot of games and their stadiums hold a lot of people as far a generating revenue or tv ratings go its nowhere near 2nd place.

Over a million for sure and MLB the show is not and will never be a system seller the best selling game in the franchise came out 15 years ago on the PS1 and even that one fell short of a million units.

It not very popular attandance is pretty much flat and so are tv ratings overall its a sport in decline both in popularity and how many people follow and play it.

Well most people are in denial about baseballs overall populartiy.  The fact is its not really that popular and its a sport on the decline.  Also I don't have to start a seperate thread baseball is probably the least favorite sport on this site all you have to do is take a quick look at the sports discussion section of this site to figure that one out.

That still doesn't make it a system seller baseball is nowhere near as popular as most people thing it is and overall its a sport in decline.  As far a sports games goes most people rather would play a NFL, soccer, basketball, NHL,  or wrestling game before they would even consider a baseball game.

Your own thread on the MLB even proves how popular baseball really is.  Its up for almost two weeks and got ZERO replies.  Meanwhile the Ultimate Warrior of a fake sport dies and his thread got 64 replies in less then 3 days.

Your forgetting that NHL is multi platform NHL is and always will be bigger then MLB the Show.

I guess you have no clue what a system seller is either a game that never sold more then one million units on one platform is not a system seller.  EA's NHL frachise is still a bigger franchise then MLB the show and that goes back to its beginnings on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive.

A franchise that consisently sells over a million units on a single console when it comes to sports games there are only three Madden, NBA 2K and FIFA.

Well the OP brought up the show as system seller which it isn't in that category only Madden, FIFA and NBA 2K are system sellers. 

Comon sense came up with that definition if not you could claim that every game is a system seller.

Where did I say that it has to sell over a million in its first week I think you are seeing thinks that aren't there.

Well the fact remains that MLB The Show isn't a system seller and never will be since no game in the entire franchise came even close to selling one million units on a single console the best selling game in the franchise was MLB 2000 and that came out 15 years ago on the PS1.

I doubt you will buy the game and the majority of the rest of the people in Europe will also avoid the game like the plague.  The game will probably sell around 300K even if you have very low standards that isn't a system seller.

Since when is around 300K high sales.

That doesn't gurantee more sales Madden has a monopoly on the NFL but its sales didn't dramatically increase in the first year it happened with Madden O6.

I highly doubt it will sell much more then 300K the franchise has never come close to selling half as much as Madden on any single console and Madden 25 only sold 600K on the PS4.

It sold that much on a system that sold over 70 million units by the time it was released the PS4 is nowhere close to that.

But this thread is only about PS4 games and MLB 12: The Show only sold over a million if you include the Vita sales.

I grew up in Germany where associtation football ruled but once I started the watching amercian football I was hooked the same applies to basketball.  Baseball I don't really care about and its populartiy is highly overblown as a matter of fact outside New York, Boston and St Louis its not really a big deal.  I live in the DFW area now and here the Cowboys (NFL), high school football (american type), The Maveriks (NBA) are all a bigger deals then the Rangers (baseball) as a matter of fact there are probably also more college football fans in my area then baseball fans.

I guess you can't handle the truth either the fact remains MLB The Show isn't a system seller or a big deal.

The Wii U not selling a lot acutally is a good thing Nintendo needs to make some new IP's ASAP.
