Forums - Gaming - Remember all those indie games Nintendo supposedly secured?

"Also, Moon Chronicles: Episode 1 is supposed to come this month, as the timeframe given was March/April. And Treasurenauts is expected later this year."

They recently said May at the earliest.

Development takes so long and indie teams tend to be pretty bad when it comes to estimating project deadlines and the such--they forget to factor in a lot of things and often end up delaying as a result. That's why sometimes (and dare I say often times) games aren't announced until a few months before they come out, or they're announced with a leeway period so they don't have to be delayed, or they're not announced until the game is actually done.

Also http://twitter.com/XenoHorizon seems to also be making a Wii U exclusive, though we don't actually know anything about it. http://rcmadiax.com/ also has a game called Super Robo Mouse coming.

Stop it, honestly you where expecting any 3rd party or indie games on wii u ? Wow

Not him, but a lot of people expect those games. Problem?

Nintendo's indie support? Those games are still on the way, not like Nintendo can tell indie devs to release their unfinished or broken games ahead of schedule. Hell, Shovel Knight was supposed to be released last September. Yacht Club dramatically underestimated the time it takes to make a game, a common mistake for indies.

im glad they are not around I hate indy games lol.

Why's that? More games are a good thing.

no physical media no buy. NIntendo shoudl fricken get smart and release compilation discs best of 2013 best of 2014. Then give majority of the profits to the indies.

Because he only likes the large conglomerates who dictate prices and make the same games over and over. Why else? Coming soon, Call of Duty: New colored guns. Look at the rubbish EA published on the Wii U. Unplayable trash with jumpy frame rate. Hand me a game like Abe New N'Tasty anyday over some EA recycled junk.

uh no i just hate digital on consoles. I think it is a scam. Once a gen ends and my hardware dies i can't redownlaod it cause well you know the services are down or the game has been taken down.

Steam is were I can kind of accept digital because it doesn't rely on specific hardware just your pc. I can upgrade it how I want when I want and be able to redownload my purchases. I can even have a low powered machine for my 90s and 00s games and a beefier one for my 2010s games and steam won't block me running on both.

Out of all the things that could be pinned as bad on the Wii U you pick this? The Indies... that's one thing that is actually "good" about the Wii U. Especially since several of the games you listed have release dates that haven't passed.

And if Steam goes out of Business in this ifetime we will both have a problem there too. I agree that digital can be a pain in the ass, but seriously, dissing small developers of games isn't going to do anything but make the games industry a boring place with nothing but call of duty and kill zone to play for the rest of your life.

Sounds like you need to blame Nintendo for their terrible online system as there are several accocunt based platforms that work and have worked well for ownership across generations of hardware.

Yeah, I stand corrected. I just saw that Jools Watsham wrote on twitter that they resubmitted it to NoA not too long ago, and this means at least 3-6 more weeks, as you said.

These are indies you are talking about...games that sometimes don't even see the light of day...just ask Tim Schafer
