Do you think that kind of jump would be possible without DX12? Im pretty sure Phil Spencer is saying that "with" DX12 it can be achieved. Instantly, prob not, but it is going to be an impact

at the end of the day DX12 is just the name for the technology, they can keep the name of the technology and software improvments as DX11 and they can still improve it. DX12 isnt this new alien software, its the evolutionary step forward in software that was logically expected to happen.
