The console itself is Sold Out... stores are trying to take more money with expensives bundles... that's just happen when there is stock issues.

The only retail to have the console in good amount are these three... Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart.

So there is stock issues yet.

The stock situation is greatly improving but it's not quite over just yet. Many stores still don't have them available to walk in and purchase depending on where you live. My immediate area is still bone dry of PS4 and I can imagine it's far from the only place with that problem. There are still retailers who aren't offering the standard $400 package or sell out eventually when they do. However, I'm pretty sure we're through the days of the PS4 being incredibly scarce.

Good timing too. The talk of its availability was starting to go from "wow it must be awesome!" to "this is bullshit! if I can't get one soon I'll buy something else!" . With Watch Dogs not far off, the Summer conventions creeping up fast, Driveclub and possibly a PS4 version of The Last of Us releasing within the next few months, and the Destiny hype train that I'm sure is about to start rolling Sony really needs to make plenty of these things available to the markets that will move the most.

ok NA seems finally settled. Japan will taper off due to shrinking console market. Just down to pesky Sony zealots in Europe to cool it down lol

Amazon having stock is not the same as the system beeing widely available.

Yeah, here in the Netherlands it's almost impossible to get a Playstation 4. Probably, because the Xbox one isn't official available here. Hopefully Sony will send more shipments here :)

The link shows there are still stock problems.  Most of the regular $400 bundles are still soldout, but the $500+ bundles that most people are not gonna buy are in stock.

If you go there and wait for the second banner story, Sony are running a story to say PS4 is now being restocked in UK.

I think you can find stock pretty easily now in US. I can go to a gamestop/bestbuy and usually they'll have some in the back, but I'm not to sure about Walmart as I haven't gone there in forever.
