Uhh, a heatsink going bad is a fucking longshot. Much more likely, and based on your description, a fan has gone bad.

Since you were playing a game for a few hours, and then encountered "noise" its likely the GPU that got hit. Corruption of visuals. aka odd colored pixels, is something that frequently happens with an overheated GPU. When its mild, as in pushing overclocking just a tad too much, the effects will be just a few pixel here and there. But a screen that has completely fucked up is something I haven't seen.

The noise was everywhere it would cover the whole screen gradually, it gets denser and denser till I could barely make anything out on screen
It cleared up after I reboot, but everytime I log in Vista It freezes and the noise gradually appears again(usually spans around 30 secs till it becomes really dense.)

the only way I could log in was through safe mode, but when I start copying files to be backed up, The noise would appear again.

Though the fan sounded alright, It spun really fast and really loud, as usual, but I didnt hear it hitting anything.
plus I was able to use it normally for a few more hours till it crapped out again.

Im just glad I was able to back up all my porn, all 90GBS worth, I could live with a new computer, but to hell if im gonna lose my stock

dude, I had both the heatsink onmy alienware's CPU/GPU go bad. It's not a longshot. It happens. Especially in laptops due to them being moved around so much.
