Now that everyone isn't sure about Watch Dogs, delaying the PC version would do more harm than good, Delaying the PC version is pretty much saying that yes, the console versions are downgraded.

Nah, just cancel the wiiu version, so we can finally move on. We need pc versions of games, just so we can see how far behind consoles are.

They probably will, that was status quo with last generation.
Darn consoles *shakes fists* always holding back progress!
Last time I checked there were roughly 5+ million Steam users with PC's that were faster than the PS4.
Obviously since then Steam added more users and percentages increased, but the Video card descriptions aren't working properly for me to verify the current numbers at the moment.
Something that should be kept in mind with Steams statistics is that: 1) It doesn't show multiple GPU's. 2) It doesn't show nVidia or AMD's GPU's if they're running Optimus/Enduro, Steam in that situation will simply count the Intel GPU.
So potentially there was more than 5+ million during that last count.
Could even be more better-than-the-PS4 gamers on PC than PS4's currently sold, although if indeed that is the case it won't last long with the PS4's current selling rate.

Tons of people held off upgrading because to put bluntly... The Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 ports just didn't demand much in the way of hardware requirements, the Steam statistics showed a rather large upswing in hardware over the last several months.
Essentially if you had a 6 year old Core 2 Quad with 8Gb of Ram, then all you needed was a $30 Radeon 6570 and you can play most games at high settings (Without AA and AF) at 720P and get 30fps, with better graphics than the HD twins.
Converesly, allot of other people are rather happy just to sit with old hardware and play games with reduced image quality settings, heck, Call of Duty, World of WarCraft, League of Legends aren't graphical powerhouses yet are some of the most popular franchises on the planet, which cements the point that not everyone is infactuated about graphics.
Right now however, I have a PC that is theoretically more than 10x the performance of a Playstation 4 and that's all that matters to me. :)

Wait wait wait... So everyone one on the internet DOESN'T have 4k monitors, Nvidia Titans with i7-3970k!? :O |
shocking isnt it?

see i dont even have that. I got an HP laptop with 6gigs of ram, hell my screen is starting to go. I would most likely need to buy a whole new machine, that would still end up being more expensive than a PS4. And I imagine alot of people are in the same boat

I think anyone who buys into a laptop, pretty much knows full well that you won't be upgrading the GPU or CPU *ever*.
There are a few exceptions of course such as Laptops which supported the AXIOM/MXM standards with replaceable GPU's, but that's-pretty much where it ended.
By extension, Laptops have always made poor gaming machines even on the best of days, they're limited in terms of TDP and power consumption, so it's already hindered,
But a 6-7 year old Desktop can still run everything today with a little cash thrown at it. (I.E. Less than you would have spent on Xbox Live! or Playstation Plus! over the same period.)

Those are all very valid points and i can agree, but then that brings me to my next question? How much people actually have DESKTOPS vs. laptops? I cant remember the last time I had one. IMHO I imagine that laptops take a big chunk of the overall PC market. Especially among your college students who are going to be moving around alot. But yeah gaming on Laptops blow for gaming. Now with that being said, its better for me to buy a PS4 instead of a whole new desktop, hell i dont even have the space for it.

On the flip side, when I only had a small granny flat, I actually got rid of my consoles and televisions because I didn't have room for them and my computer, something had to give and I wasn't ready to give up gaming. :P
Instead, TV, Blu-Ray all my media tasks were performed via my PC on my PC's (Single at the time) 1080P monitor.
Today however, I'm running triple 27" 1440P monitors, so I can watch TV, whilst playing a game, whilst doing some other task on the 3rd panel as I have space.
As for College students, here we don't have dorms or flats (South Australia) for students to reside in, City might be a bit different.
But for Desktop sales vs Laptop Sales...
Notebooks do have the edge, but with Desktops still pushing 100+ million units a year, it's not an insignificant number, that's potentially a ton of gaming-capable machines.

oh i was never suggesting that its an insigficant number, just that laptops take a good chunk of it as i always suspected. Still that is a good number for PC. there are dorms in the US and tbh you would be hard pressed to find a lot of students with a desktop. ive only been to a few but its been the same to those i have been. keep in mind we are talking about four people to a place so desktop is not practical.
Worth pointing out that graph is only prebuilts from Dell HP etc you could probably add another few mill for custom (from boutiques) and home built towers.
