Dammit Sony. You keep announcing stuff that makes we want a PS4 earlier than I planned...

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

would be funny if it turns out to be the best looking nextgen game when its released 0_o
nextgen started on ps3 :D

Yay!!!!! One less reason to have to buy a PS3. I hope all of the great last gen games get this treatment ( like we saw all of the HD rereleases in the 7th gen ) because I missed A LOT of 6th Gen games and I don't want to buy a PS3 and a PS4 and an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One at this point in time.

TLOU in 1080p 60fps 2xMSAA and high-resolution textures would look better than any next-gen multiplatform released until now.Imagine if they switch the in-game character models for the cutscene ones?

Never gonna happen. 30fps unlocked if we're lucky.

Doubt I'll get it. But for anyone who hasn't played it who owns a PS4 then it will be a good buy. Plus for anyone switching from 360 to PS4 then obviously TLOU is a great 7th gen game that they won't need to miss out on because they didn't ever buy PS3.

I'll buy it simply because there aren't many other games out on the ps4.

Yeah ... OK.

I don't see what's wrong with my statement. I've already played and finished the game, and probably wouldn't consider playing the game again (even though I thoroughly enjoyed it) unless there's nothing else to play...and last time I looked at the ps4 release calender, june / july was empty.

Sorry, I mistook you for one of those people who constantly claim there's no games on the PS4.

It's perfectly possible, though it will of course depend on how ambitious they are with the enhancements. Just the current game itself at 720p/30fps is 27,6480,00 pixels per second. At 1080p/60fps it would be 124,416,000 (So 4.5 times more. Including the fact the PS3 version isn't locked at 30fps and sometimes dips, let's call it 5 times more). We know the PS4 is a fair bit more powerful than 5 times the PS3, so it's perfectly reasonable it could run it at 1080p/60fps with better AA and some texture upgrades.

Of course, this is all purely based on linear power assumptions. How much effort and time they put into it will also play a huge role.
