Forums - Gaming - Rumor: Infamous: Second Son Hits 1 Million Pre-orders (Insiderp)

I was happy for a moment, then I saw the source. Although, considering preorders here, is not imposible this to be real. I hope so

Infamous : Second Son amasses 1 million pre-orders globally. Digital numbers revealed

We all expected Infamous : Second Son to be massive in terms of sales, but never did we expect the game to have the highest amount of pre-orders for any next-gen game. Courtesy of our close amigo at SCE, as of March 18,2014, the game has 1 million pre-orders globally. This is the first time pre-orders for any next-gen game has reached a million before release. Below is the breakdown for the pre-orders of the game :

North America : 417,000

PAL/Europe  ~326,000 . An additional ~100,000 pre-orders for the PS4-Infamous bundle.

We have gotten digital pre-order numbers for the game, which is a little over 190,000 units globally. We just do not have the split in terms of region, but we have been informed that SONY is prepping to ship around 400,000 PS4 consoles during Infamous launch weekend, globally. By looking at the pre-order numbers, it seems SONY is turning Microsoft's dream of a digital future into reality.

Hi Cliff.

not saying it will be 100% accurate or not when final numbers will be available, but more than one time they were very accurate.

And these are the numbers I'm expecting, we will see.

"I've been watching this site closely and they seem to have been pretty accurate in the past:"

Seems like tracking to me.

And what have they been accurate about??

Ok, that is an exaggeration. I've only seen two predictions and I definitely should have clarified that, but they were close, in fact one months numbers were closer than VGC.

At the end of the day, who cares anyway? If they're right with their last two articles then we know they must have some sort of insider.

You're still not telling me what they were accurate about. They haven't tracked any sales since January. Also, I see that you say predictions. They are claiming these as facts, not predictions.

I call them predictions because they still haven't proven themselves just yet to me. I'll call them 'facts' when they do.

It's a site as many others, I don't see this big problem, apart from worried fans...

We should invite these guys to VGC. Their weekly insider threads would be amazing.

Yeah, the reaction is weird. Some have already suggested it could be a 'guess' but I'm looking at the way they've broken down the numbers into regions and preorders, and PS4 shipments to boot. If they get this close I'll be tempted to bookmark them.

There are sites that get quoted here with the same strong bias and the same bad webdesign fails? Name me some, please.
