Forums - Gaming - Rumor: Infamous: Second Son Hits 1 Million Pre-orders (Insiderp)

"We can also inform you that SONY has reserved as many as 500,000 units for Japanese launch. The console has over 250,000 units on preorder in its homeland. Below is the breakdown for the console in terms of region.Congratulation to SONY for reaching the covetted milestone."

1. Wrong about the 500,000 units for Japan launch.
2. That spelling! "Congratulation to SONY" "covetted"??

Really, the site looks more like a blog by a Playstation fan than anything else.
Ugly webdesign and biased "articles" and now a "source" for VGC-threads. Disgusting.

If they're there abouts with their last two articles then we know they can be trusted ... yes?

Trusted? It is still a Playstation fan site and really, 1 million pre-orders? Even if their guesses *would* be right, the site itself has absolutely no credibility to me. Guessed numbers by a site which looks worse than yahoo did 15 years ago, registered domain 2013-12-14, just to post "news" with a more than obvious agenda.

No, thanks sir. Also, I am wondering why you seem to be the only one tracking this "site" for "news"..

"We are a bunch of industry professionals giving you updated sales figures and insider info directly from deveopers and national sales trackers"

This totally made my day... industry professionals are especially professional if they say so

I'm 'tracking' the site? I've posted two articles from N4G and that's 'tracking'? LOL

I love the way you've covered if they are right. It's just a guess ... No other site you frequent does that do they.

"I've been watching this site closely and they seem to have been pretty accurate in the past:"

Seems like tracking to me.

And what have they been accurate about??

That would be amazing if true

One thing I would say is that with the Titanfall numbers they admitted they didn't have the digital pre-orders but here they say they do have the digital sales. Now if I was someone just making up Titanfall sales, I would have made up digital numbers too. I'm not saying this proves it's correct but it does suggest to me that they're getting information from 'somewhere'.

Ok, that is an exaggeration. I've only seen two predictions and I definitely should have clarified that, but they were close, in fact one months numbers were closer than VGC.

At the end of the day, who cares anyway? If they're right with their last two articles then we know they must have some sort of insider.

If those numbers are remotely true then that is great for Infamous and Sony. However, I don't trust that site so I won't put my faith in those numbers.

We'll be able to put this site to the test pretty soon:

Infamous : Second Son amasses 1 million pre-orders globally. Digital numbers revealed

We all expected Infamous : Second Son to be massive in terms of sales, but never did we expect the game to have the highest amount of pre-orders for any next-gen game. Courtesy of our close amigo at SCE, as of March 18,2014, the game has 1 million pre-orders globally. This is the first time pre-orders for any next-gen game has reached a million before release. Below is the breakdown for the pre-orders of the game :

North America : 417,000

PAL/Europe  ~326,000 . An additional ~100,000 pre-orders for the PS4-Infamous bundle.

We have gotten digital pre-order numbers for the game, which is a little over 190,000 units globally. We just do not have the split in terms of region, but we have been informed that SONY is prepping to ship around 400,000 PS4 consoles during Infamous launch weekend, globally. By looking at the pre-order numbers, it seems SONY is turning Microsoft's dream of a digital future into reality.

Hi Cliff.

not saying it will be 100% accurate or not when final numbers will be available, but more than one time they were very accurate.

And these are the numbers I'm expecting, we will see.

Yes, as if N4G was any authority

And eh... There is *nothing* to cover.

Seems reasonable. Its the first major exclusive release for some time. The source is irrelevant really, as this is very predictable.

This.  I'm expecting those numbers.
