People are forgetting the power of the cloud, it will keep them competitive for at least 15 years ;)
Sorry, this isn't happening.
Typically of Rare to make such a bold claim. Just watch it all come crashing down on them.

Timed: PVZ Z: Garden Warfare, Peggle 2
The main standouts are Titanfall, Spark, and Fable Anniversary. Arguably MS is supporting 360 better then Sony is for the PS3 this year. Keep in mind PS3 is in its 8th year and 360 is in its 9th.
P.S Halo 4 outsold every PS3 exclusive in 2012. Hardly dead but I see what you mean with lacking quantity. XBLA was a beast, though people didn't seem to notice.

There isn't a single major exclusive title on that list, all but one are ports, and that last one is an upgrade, not a unique game (a rather poorly received upgrade at that).
MS's 1st party support for the 360 has been pretty appalling the last few years (2013 was a waist land. I'm not aware they released a single AAA title on the 360). When people talk about a console being supported, they are generally talking in reference to how much effort that companies first party puts into their platform.

What do you expect.....it is the 9th year of the console. The Last of Us released in PS3's 7th year......I am VERY curious to see what PS3 releases are like in its 9th year in 2015 to contrast with the games I listed.
The fact of the matter is that the games that are 3rd party, are not coming to PS3, which in itself deserves a mention. Ports or not, Titanfall and Project Spark are high profile for Xbox and it would certainly give it an edge over whatever PS3 has going for it this year.
I could see this, but much of it depends on Sony as well. If the PS5 launches in 2020 then there is no way Microsoft gives Sony years before launching something comparable. However, if Sony are also content to let it play out I could see Microsoft content to hold off until 2023-2025 before launching a successor. Longer life cycles are in these companies best interest to recoup investments and keep costs under control.
How many of us in 2005 thought we'd just see the PS4 in 2013? I know I figured 2012 at the very latest. The industry is changing.

so you are expecting PS3 games 2 years into the PS4/X1 gen do be as good as xbxo 360 games in the year where next-gen systems were only around for 2 months?
Where did you find such a ridiculous idea?
| sales2099 said: Funny thing is people laughed when they said that about 360, given that Xbox only lasted 4 years. Now it is in its 9th year. |
And how many non kinect exclusive on the console since the 6th year ?

But its Sony right? Don't they support to the very last end? Certainly they can't allow greedy MS to bring more support to 360 now?
But ok, have it your way. Lets compare 2014 for the both of them, regardless of their 8th and 9th year out. Now I don't know what PS3 is packing in 2014, but certainly 360 games not on PS3 in 2014 is worth noting, especially the frontliners like Titanfall and Project Spark, port or not.

Off the bat I like your filtering. Kinect is out. Exclusive rules out 360 multiplats not on PS3. I bet you wouldn't want to include XBLA right?
I see where this is going. 360 managed to do well in the last few years regardless. It coasted on multiplats, its flagship exclusives, and XBLA. Now in 2014 it has a arguably superior library to PS3 in 2014. If you align for time of launch it certainly is better then what PS3 would offer in 2015. Ironically, 360 gets the last laugh with games support.
