How about that Thousand Year Door? It came dangerously close to toppling Final Fantasy X. I did not see that coming at all.

RE 4 is sometimes regarded as one of the best games ever created (and by far the best RE game). Never heard anyone say GTA V is one of the best. Has nothing anything to do with Nintendo fans.

Then you just aren't listening hard enough. One only needs to read some reviews to see that many people think that way, and most think it's certainly a top of the class open world game.

I checked the thread and, yeah, there does seem to be a trend of Nintendo fans voting for it over GTA.

Well of course, my bad, 15 or so votes on one gaming forum represent the Nintendo fanbase, silly me!

Anyway, if you go by reviews then RE 4 has a meta of 96 (PS2)...and yeah many many people consider it to be the best game of all time....not just Nintendo fans.

Edit: lets look at another example, Shadow of the Colossus has 91 on meta..and yet is regarded by many many Sony fans (as well as gamers in general) as the best game ever created...yet GTA V with a 97 meta doesn't seem to get that much praise.
