If you think that bots are annoying or there are not enough players in the map you're playing it wrong.
The only place where action might be slow is Boneyard.

I want to play it right!  Tell me how to play it right!

Play it as a squad and you'll always find action instead of going "Chuck Norris" on biatches.

Only time I've had this issue is if the teams aren't full, which would be the case for any game. 6v6 if I play the objectives there is always great action going on. Even the big maps like Lagoon or Boneyard.

My thing is, even when the teams are full, I'll see a pilot running around doing all kinds of crazy shit so I'll chase after him.  Then I'll engage a bunch of AI bots that don't really put up a fight but they distract me from my real goal--killing a real player.  That momentary distraction is all they need to get the drop on me.  I'm never bored.  There's always something going on.  I'm just not fond of them robots mixing with us red blooded folk and chasing after our white women*.

Ha ha.  Look like someone needs some remedial gaming classes.

Reminds me of all those negative Knack reviews.  Turns out that they just weren't playing the game right.

Farm the bots early, then use your titan on guard or follow as bait, if there is a titan in a location there will be pilots

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

I don't mind the player count, nor do I mind the bots so much. What I hate is that the weapons are unbalanced. The carbine is far and away the best, no competition. The SMG is ok,but is really just a dumbed down carbine. The shotgun is usable, but you get destroyed if you don't kill in the first two shots. The smart pistol is good against grunts, but takes some serious stealth to be useable against pilots (I actually like the smart pistol, not op IMO). Sniping is useless. Overall, the weapons really need to be balanced, all people use are silenced carbines.

I disagree.  I can't stand how OPed guns like shotgun and pistol are in COD.  In real life, there is a reason why the number one weapon on the battle field is a rifle (AK or M16).  Shotguns can be powerful at close range, and pistols can be powerful too but are not meant for human stopping power / killing like a rifle is.  Sad but true.

Sniping should be hard. When COD got really fast paced, they need to allow quick scoping to keep snipers happy.  In reality, marathon / lighweight doesn't exist on a real battlefield, and sightlines can be miles long.  Unfortunately, titanfall is too fast paced for snipers.  And battlefields in titanfall are too large for pistols and shotguns.  My 2 cents.

The thing is, this ISN'T real life. In real life, your health doesn't regenerate, and you can't hop off of walls or jump into a giant 20 foot mech. When I play a video game, I don't expect it to be true to life. I prefer a more balanced field in which all the weapons are fun to try out and have their own pros and cons. Literally, the carbine is the only weapon people use, and it's for good reason- the weapon is simply the best in every category with the exception of point-blank range. No other weapons, not even the 3 round burst or the LMG, come close to the effetiveness of the carbine. Sniping is useless in this game- even the most skilled snipers won't snipe, because the game is just too fast paced, spread out, and with only 6 enemy players (half of which will probably be in titans, so more like 3) it's hard to find a decent target. I don't  want it to be like COD, but seriously if you're going to have 10 primary weapons, don't make it so that only two or three are any good. It makes it so that there's less diversity overall, as every enemy player uses the same play style and weapon.

A suggestion for fixing sniping (and I'm probably gonna be hated for this) is making it like the smart pistol. Have a small reticule area that you can keep locked on to an enemy player for 3 or 4 seconds, and then fire a bullet that will home in on the target. It will solve the problem of sniping in such a chaotic environment.

You have a good point in the first paragraph, especially with this game (mechs, wall jumping, etc.).  I would probably have more of a case with COD.

I'm not sure sniping needs to be buffed THAT much.  I've had a few snipers take me out in larger maps where I didn't have a shot in heck of killing them.  Either way, I imagine that respawn will balance the mechanics over time (hopefull).

I think I know why that is...........The massive frame rate drops that happen when there is like 4 titans in one area. The game probably went to shit when they tested 18 or so titans in one area.

But they forgot one key element from call of duty that could of helped them to pull it off.

well maybe two,

1. Make obtaining titans a more award based accomplishment instead of just handing them to everybody (this might however discourage a lot of players)

2. post a titan cap. In cod, you could only have one massive damage killstreak running at a time like ac 130 etc, I assume that was to pacify the strain that the explosions was putting on the game. So freezing the amount of titans that could be called per side at one time could allow more pilots to roam.

I actually love the balance of the game as is.  My complaints with the game so far are more minor.

For example, it should be easier to tell when you KILL a pilot vs grunt.  Larger text or something.

I had a few more but escaping me at the moment.  Titanfall is some of the most fun I've had with a FPS in a while.

I agree with that point, you have to llok for the amount you scored for the kill to determine it was a pilot. they should leave the small text for minions and do like a big call of duty esc 50+ in the midle of the screen for titan and pilot kills.

dont know if it helps but when you kill a pilot there text is gold i belive where ai is just the blue or grey color
