Forums - Gaming - Percentage of mature is higher in eight generation consokes

Yes... It includes Wii U.

Because comparing a library of a thousand games with a library of 30 games makes total sense.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

It's too early, you can't compare the  quantity of games there are now.

Vivster... Your comment is an epic fail.

It has nothing to do with amount of games in the first place, read it again and if you still interpet it incorrectly then something is not right with you... It is about percentage of mature games in games library...

The problem with what's being inferred by this article is that as the saying goes "mature games aren't..."

Sure they may have a mature rating but the average person playing Call Of Duty is 13, the average person wowed by the gore and bare breasts in the latest God Of War game is a teenager, and the average person taking the notoriously family friendly plumber on another jumping romp on the Wii U is... wait for it... in their 30's!!!

Mature games are not mature, it's a complete misnomer. Making a lot of mature, 18-rated games means you're targeting the 13-15 year old boy market. A market filled with immature children puffing up their chest and acting like they're big men, and playing "XTREME!!!" games is a way to do that. The actual mature gamer, they like fun. Now sure, that fun can and does include the likes of GTA, but it also includes the games that the 13 year old CoD kiddies, completely unaware of the hilarious irony, describe as being "for kids"; which tends to include most first party Nintendo franchises for example.

My friends are generally all approaching, or past the age of 30 now, and I'm far more likely to hear someone tell me about how much they enjoyed the latest Mario or Pokémon game than anything mainstream hardcore and violent. I don't think I know anyone who gave half a shit about Call Of Duty, Battlefield, or Titanfall for that matter.

The very concept of "Mature content" or "Adult content" is something I've always found amusing, because all too often mature adults aren't interested by such tacky childish things.

Okay... So, what's your point here?

this type of comment actually suggests, that something is off about yourself, as does your user name

vivster has a real case here, the percentage of mature rated games can easily change once more games release for PS4/X1, so from a statistical point of view this type of analysis is moot at this point

Thank you for not being an idiot. I don't even have the motivation to tell him the underlying factors of time and absolute numbers to a percentage.

I guess I wouldn't manage to answer him without getting banned for being condescending.

You are making stuff up that is not even funny. I do not know a single adult gamer between 20 and 35 that plays Nintendo over xbox, PC, or playstation.

What's a Mature person, anyway? It doesn't have anything to do with age. Nintendopie, for example, is far more mature than most people over the age of 18. (21 in some places).
