Game of the generation, the new halo..

the one that sells more? 

that particualr cod team killed halo with cod 4.

I'm one of the many that put Halo in the back burner thanks to what that team started. If any team can kill cod it's them, they built it.

If Halo was multi-plat I doubt COD would have done nearly as well. While Halo and Gears were never enough to get me to buy an xbox those are both games I've played and enjoyed (mostly the co-op campaign) The last decent COD was W@W in my opinion... MW2 was a majorly overhyped game that got higher scores than it deserved, just like titanfall. I also got banned from IW boards for calling them out on the hyped bs before the game came out as well. While it did have some neat innovation that has kept the game thriving so far the base mechanics of the game were mundane and very vanilla. There are several xone games coming out in the near future that do deserve hype and praise. I'm just saying titanfall isn't among them.

omg how could someone call this game of the generation.... im laughing so hard now... that is a pathetic statement... if thats the game of the generation then im done.... ill never buy anything new goodbye.

Cause awards from E3 are basically hype driven.

I wouldn't put too much into those awards that are based solely on a preview of a game.

I think the result would have been the same just on a larger scale. If we isolate nintendo and sony the xbox fanbase revolved around halo until cod 4 came. I was deep in Halo 3 matches when my long time friends would randomly leave sessions saying they were going to play call of duty. To not feel left out I borrowed the game, when back and forth with it and halo and in not to long a time totally discarded halo. Reach was the last one I baught.

We saw record breaking sales that halo in it;s peek could not have managed just on xbox alone. 

Now lets take that little world and expand on it. Say from the very beggining halo was a multi platform title. The fatigue we xbox fans feel of it would be evenly set on the gaming world as a whole. When cod 4 came to town it would have still out done halo overall.

Lets take a look at multi plat trends. How many multi plat franchises sell more than another franchise on xbox and has reversed numbers in regards to the sony fanbase?

If you can name any it would be news to me.

Looking at popular multi plats I can think of of the same genre the obvious titles would be cod ghost and battle field 4. In both comunities ghost has sold more.

SO no I don't think a halo mutli plat world would have stopped cod from taking over.

As for MW2. It's the most time I've spent playing any cod title so I obviously disagree with your opinion about it. I'm 80+ days played online only in MW2.

Gamers can't get enough of COD confirmed! and I'm disgusted with the gaming consumer community, and myself for buying ghosts... even though I bought it to check out extinction :p
