As far as I am aware they are useing WHITE for everything so far. As the UE3 is gonna be for the next batch of hihg-end games.

EDIT: I wont buy this, even though I loved 4. I would only buy it if it was a HQ remake. I'm not talking PS3/360 style... that would be nice.... *Drools* but I'd be happy with Wii. But for the DS, it's just not enough graphics to warrent the move to 3d, I would rather the game in high quality 2d, than low quality 3d. Simple as that. Porting it to 3d will do little than add a sense of depth, while with 2d, you can imagine it. If it was remade for the Wii/PS3/360... I would just drool, and buy at least 1 copy. (I say at least, so I can have one un-opened) 

 The Last Remnant is using the Unreal Engine.

What's your opinion of Revenant Wings people? I want a FF game for the DS, so I think I'm going to get III, but XII: RW looks impressive too...people say XII was boring, do you think this will be boring too? And is it worth buying if I've never played XII?

I've played the Japanese copy of FF XII: RW and it kinda... sucks. Way too simple, way too boring, and it feels like a mission based RTS. I would recommend FFIII if you don't have it by now as i have both and FFIII is BY FAR better.

Oh that's complicated cause i hate RTS's so maybe RW suits better to your tastes. FFIII is just like every normal turn-based FF.

Yeah, exactly. I'm not a huge FF person, so I don't care if the system is so different, more like an RTS would be fine with me, provided it's not boring.

I kno wexactly what you mean, there are some pretty cool games coming out for it, my wife and I like the mario one for it.

honestly tho do you guys think* they could pull off a playstation ver. of final fantasy on the ds? with cutscenes and all? im iffy...
