I honestly think evo making a racing sim was a pretty bad idea. Sony already has a dev that does that and will do a much better job. Shouldve been doing something else. Wouldve been amazing (imo) if they wouldve made a vigilante 8, burnout, something in that ballpark. I think racing sims are to prominent these days.

And theyve said many times its not a Sim.

Its an arcade game like Project Gotham

Sim was a bad word on my part. I still think its a "meh" market. I mean look how rivals is doing. And like i said before Poly will blow anything they are doing out of the water. Best thing to do is something outside of the box and newish. If they had a lot of interesting ideas they should've given them to poly or colaborated in some way.

From what i heard about the game it sounded like it was going to be hot pursuitish. Just no need to copy it.

I dont think it has any rivals at the moment, its not a SIM and its not over the top NFS arcade, i sorely miss Project Gotham, sad day when Bizzare Creations closed there doors. If they can recapture that it will be great, if not yeah probably just another mediocre racer.

While i do like Project Gotham. I played it just a couple of years back with my wife, her father, and her cousin. It was a good time. I just dont think theres a market for it. If it was say a downloadable game fine. But it just looks like a NFS/Forza attempt to me. Thats the impression i got from the screens and stuff.

I wish we'd get another Burnout Paradise style of game. While i'll probably still play Driveclub when it's released, regular racing games don't hold my interest as long for some reason.

They have the expertise for that kind of game too. With all their Motorstorm Expirence. Just blows my mind they didnt take a stab at something crazy.
