Forums - Gaming - Is titanfalls weird resolution 720p + 10% from the cloud

yeah?

I agree 2 15.38%

I disagree 11 84.62%

Total:13

Seems a reasonable assumption, online only game, heavily uses the cloud (it's real, belieeve)

10% is a nice round even figure, I can imagine a PR statement saying "The cloud will increase graphics fidelity by 10%"

10% is 72, 72p+720p = 792p.

Thats gotta be it, no?

Because if i was respawn, i'd just go with 720p. You'd be mocked for a few days then we'll all forget about it, like the other xbone games (cod, bf)

792p brings up discussions, like now.

Clever thought but I'm pretty sure its 792p because that was the highest they could make it and still run at 60fps online with Titanfall's dated engine.

no

That's not how resolutions scale :P 792p is about 720p+21% (720p is 921,600 pixels, 792p is 1115136).

Another joke thread?

LMAO, the threads get better and better. They wanted it higher then 720p just to show it was higher then 360, but it backfired with the performance issues on x1.

It does not appear to have backfired at all?

Relevant how? 6 > 3.6. 87 is not exactly a system seller, and most likely it will drop with more to come, it's not going to be the game MS wants or needs to move x1's. Not even the highest rated next gen game, and wont be close for 2014.
